African countries are urged to partner among themselves for more enhanced development and better standard of living in the continent.
Vice President Muhammad Namadi Sambo stated this yesterday when he met with Nigerians resident in Bujumbura , Burundi . He said this is necessary as majority of African countries are attaining their fifty years of independence this year.
Sambo emphasised that “foreign countries would not develop Africa but Africans themselves and therefore there is need for more partnership for meaningful development.”
He disclosed that he has directed the Head of Nigerian Mission in Burundi to discuss ways of partnership with the country where Nigeria can assist in terms of development.
Vice President Sambo also disclosed that the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan is making everything possible to ensure meaningful development in all spheres of the economy in Nigeria.
He said due to the high premium the federal government has placed on transforming the economy and other social infrastructure, government has put in $10 billion in power generation, transmission and distribution
