Zambia’s inflation rate has recorded a steady decline from 9.2% in April to 9.1% in May, representing a meager 0.1% reduction.
According to the latest Central Statistical Office (CSO) monthly bulletin, the declined has been attributed reductions in the prices of food, household goods and furnisher.
CSO Director, Elfreda Chulu however told reporters Thursday May 27, in the Zambian capital Lusaka “the recent fuel hikes will have an impact on the June inflation rate”.
